Hurricane "Rick" will spend the weekend battering the west coast of Mexico, Baja California and anyone unlucky enough to be aboard a ship or boat offshore. I wonder about this choice of names, however. Why not Richard? "Rick" is akin to naming a hurricane Pepe, or Paco, or Perky. These hurricanes are dangerous and important. They should carry real names, not shortened versions or nicknames. My two cents...
