While Central America is taken over by
criminal gangs, Mexico struggles to contain its
drug-related violence, and Bolivia and Chile face critical democratic elections in coming months, the Organization of American States and the U.S. State Department dither over what to do with the "illegitimate" regime in
Honduras. The OAS and the U.S. seem unable to work on more than one front at a time. The media don't help, of course. Journalists run in a pack, and the pack only has time to feed on one story at a time. A shame...
