One Mexico-United States connection

As drug violence explodes in Ciudad Juarez and several other places in Mexico, it is worthwhile and encouraging to note special connections between the two countries. Mexico is a huge and varied nation, just like the United States or Canada, and images of drug-related violence or influenza epidemics should not detract from an appreciation of that fact. The Guanajuato, Gto., Mexico-Ashland, Oregon connection, 40 years strong, is one bright example of what can happen when people from different countries want to be friends.
