Latin America: Most Dangerous Place for Journalists

According to the International Press Institute's "Death Watch" report, Latin American in 2011 was the most dangerous region to practice journalism. Mexico was the most dangerous country. In my opinion, contributing factors included the 'war on drugs,' the overall climate of inpunity prevalent in many countries, and the attitude of many of those in leadership positions that blames the media for their problems.
