Disaster in Haiti

The worst earthquake to strike Haiti in modern times has apparently killed thousands and destroyed much of the island nation's infrastructure, including in the capital Port-au-Prince. All the world's media are now focused on the disaster, which is typical. After a few days, the headlines will stop and there will be a small handful of world media still covering the country and its ongoing troubles. The Miami Herald is one. For good coverage of the Caribbean, go to www.miamiherald.com or to the BBC: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/default.stm
